Last week, Jacopo Barbieri from Politecnico di Torino visited the University of Porto to carry out a series of experimental activities within the REBORN project, in close collaboration with Pedro and Rui.
The work focused on the ongoing development and refinement of minimally invasive approaches for the implantation of REBORN’s innovative cardiac patch. The team tested new solutions aimed at improving the delivery and integration of the patch in cardiac procedures, working on both procedural validation and practical implementation aspects.
These activities represent a significant step forward in the project’s goal to provide effective, safe, and patient-friendly technologies for cardiac regeneration. Collaboration between partners and the contribution of multidisciplinary expertise remain key to driving REBORN’s mission forward.
