On 18th January 2023 the kick-off meeting of the Horizon Europe project REBORN “REMODELING OF THE INFARCTED HEART: PIEZOELECTRIC MULTIFUNCTIONAL PATCH ENABLING THE SEQUENTIAL RELEASE OF THERAPEUTIC FACTORS” was held, coordinated by Prof. Chiara Vitale Brovarone, officially took off in Turin.
The twelve partners of REBORN will develop a biomaterial in the form of a thin membrane to stimulate the regeneration of the infarcted myocardium, releasing different therapeutic factors in a controlled and sequential way.
The REBORN project, funded by the European Union under the Horizon Europe program (grant agreement n° 101091852– topic HORIZON-CL4-2022-RESILIENCE-01-13) with a EU contribution of 4.050.412,50 Euros, will have a duration of 4 years.
